Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Cortez Monday, June 15th , 2026 Manuel Cortez's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 25 games. The Lincoln shortstop smacked 1 hit against the Plymouth Rockers in today's game at Lincoln Grounds, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Princes drop the game, 26-7. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Manuel Cortez singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Cortez is currently batting .373 with 3 home runs and 26 RBIs. |
