5-Hit Game for Dawson Thursday, May 23rd , 2024 It was a sensational day at the plate for Justin Dawson as he led the charge to a nifty 16-1 win over the Raptors. The Ft. Wayne designated hitter was pure misery for the Picture Rocks pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Dawson put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Matt Walker, manager for the Raptors, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Justin Dawson grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 9th.
