3 Roundtrippers for Canady Tuesday, August 9th , 2022 Dan Canady went on an explosive hitting spree against the Chuluota Imperials at Earthquakes Stadium, launching a trio of blasts to help the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes win, 13-0. The second baseman finished 4-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 6 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Canady said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Chuluota skipper Victor Gonzalez said Canady was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Dan Canady hit a three-run home run off Jon Torres in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jon Torres in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jose Chavez in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. In his season totals Canady has 11 home runs and a .385 batting average. |
