League Gives Bertetto 2-Game Suspension Monday, May 20th , 2024 Haviland will not have the services of center fielder Eddie Bertetto for several days. The league commissioner has suspended him for 2 games for arguing a third strike call. The altercation occurred in yesterday's contest with the Riverside Wolverines and involved the home plate umpire. Riled up by being called out, Bertetto slightly shoved him after he was ejected. In baseball it is taboo to touch an umpire. Bertetto is currently batting .339 with 4 home runs and 13 RBIs. |
