Byerly Raps 3 HR Against Suns Friday, July 29th , 2022 Fans are still buzzing after Abingdon whipped the Moriarty Suns by the score of 15-7 at Super Solarplex. David Byerly smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the catcher bashed out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, had 5 RBIs and scored 4 times. At the postgame press conference, Byerly said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Byerly said. "Three is just... wow." David Byerly flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Vinny Alvarenga in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Chad Asbury in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Chris Childress in the 8th. This season, Byerly has banged out 25 hits in 134 at-bats for a .187 average with 10 home runs. He is getting on base at a .213 pace and his totals also include 19 RBIs and 15 runs scored. |
