Skiba Cracks 5 Hits
Sunday, June 15th , 2025
Dan Skiba was at the head of a Jacksonville hit parade at Ballpark of San Bernardino. The second baseman went to the plate 7 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Nationals to a nice 16-10 victory over the San Bernardino Flight.
"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Skiba told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."
Flight skipper Nick Neumann said later that the club gave up "too much plate."
"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
Dan Skiba doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Alejandro Rivera in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
So far this year in 61 games, Skiba is hitting .441 with 21 home runs, 84 RBIs and 82 runs scored.
