3-HR Day for Baker Thursday, June 29th , 2023 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Franklin Park buzzing, Plymouth Rockers center fielder Ben Baker blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 16-13, over the Franklin Cubs. "Everything was clicking," Baker told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Baker shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 6 at-bats, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Rockers manager Matt Seipp said. "Ben played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Ben Baker struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Dan Herbert in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Naohiro Goto in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. For the year, Baker is batting .235 with 17 home runs. |
