Pereira Crashes 3 HR Against Moncton Thursday, August 19th , 2021 Fans are still buzzing after Terra Linda whipped the Moncton Mounties by the score of 10-7 at Mapleton Yards. Cesar Pereira smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the catcher bashed out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, had 5 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Pereira said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Pereira said. "Three is just... wow." Cesar Pereira flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Brian Gay in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Terence Rodda in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Cory Crabtree in the 9th and walked in a run in the 9th. Thus far this year, Pereira has hit .217 with 19 home runs and 34 RBIs. |
