Stansberry on Fire: Burns Terra Linda with 3 HR Monday, August 12th , 2019 Abingdon Archers left fielder Kyle Stansberry had a magnificent game against the Terra Linda Chargers today, rocketing three balls out of Reagor Dykes Stadium to help the Archers take the 12-2 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Stansberry went 4-for-4 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Abingdon manager Ken Bennett said later. "Seems like Kyle found his home run stroke today." Kyle Stansberry singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Mark Luby in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Mark Luby in the 4th and hit a three-run home run off Danny Brabson in the 5th. So far this season Stansberry has put up a .342 batting average with 88 hits, 36 home runs and 83 RBIs. |
