Jacksonville Halts Warren's Hitting Steak Thursday, June 5th , 2025 Billy Warren, first baseman for the Picture Rocks Raptors, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Jacksonville Nationals. Not only did the Nationals break his 29-game hitting streak, they also beat Picture Rocks by the score of 18-2. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Warren said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." So far this year in 53 games, Warren is hitting .433 with 16 home runs, 56 RBIs and 53 runs scored. |
