Long Island Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Thursday, August 12th , 2021 Fans of the Long Island Torpedoes have long since given up hope of the club making a serious playoff push this season. But now those hopes are officially gone, as the club was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. Long Island last appeared in the postseason in 2009. This is their 12th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 17 times in their 21-year history. |
