Rockers Goldade Sizzles with Cycle
Monday, August 9th , 2021
Lee Goldade saw a spectacular performance go to waste in his club's 9-8 loss to the Moncton Mounties at Madison Grounds.
The Plymouth Rockers second baseman had 1 run batted in and went 4-for-5, including hitting for the cycle, but his club went down to defeat anyway.
"Everything they threw him, he was swatting around the field," said the Plymouth skipper John Lunceford. "It really was a special performance for Lee. It's a shame we couldn't win the game, too."
Lee Goldade hit a solo-shot off Manuel Cristerna in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, tripled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
So far this season, Goldade has put up a .246 batting average with 51 hits, 6 home runs and 24 RBIs.
