Gilchrist Takes Best Bat Award in July Thursday, August 1st , 2019 Curtis Gilchrist made his presence known as one of the best young stars in the Northern Conference this past month. The Franklin Cubs left fielder shined through the month of July and has won the Batter of the Month award. The 21-year-old hit .360 with 19 home runs, 38 RBIs and 22 runs scored. So far this season Gilchrist is batting .308 with 53 home runs, 85 RBIs and 67 runs scored. He has 72 hits in 234 at-bats, 23 walks and a .384 OBP. Gilchrist has played in 79 games. |
