Dustin Roachell Rockets 3 Home Runs Tuesday, August 3rd , 2021 Dustin Roachell went on an explosive hitting spree against the Haviland Thrashers at Captains Ballpark, launching a trio of blasts to help the Tulsa Captains win, 11-8. The third baseman finished 3-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 5 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Roachell said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Haviland skipper Matt Conners said Roachell was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Dustin Roachell struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Chris Schreurs in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jaheim Sneed in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Keith Jong in the 6th. In 80 games Roachell is hitting .297 this season with 81 hits, 36 home runs, 81 RBIs, 32 walks, .377 OBP and has scored 60 runs. |
