3 Bombs for Earl Leason
Tuesday, August 3rd , 2021
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Earl Leason did at Lincoln Grounds, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 8-4.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Leason said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Long Island Torpedoes shortstop blistered the Lincoln Princes for 3 hits, batted in 3 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Lincoln manager Andy Hadley said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Earl Leason hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
For the year, Leason is batting .264 with 7 home runs, 16 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
