In a powerful performance that left the fans at Ballpark of Haviland buzzing, Haviland Thrashers first baseman Chris Stivers blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 10-7, over the Jacksonville Nationals.
"Everything was clicking," Stivers told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Stivers shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Thrashers manager Matt Conners said. "Chris played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
Chris Stivers grounded out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jonathan Lamas in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Manny Brant in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Hector Berrios in the 9th.
This year, Stivers is hitting .223, produced 33 RBIs and 13 home runs, scored 15 times and gotten on base at a .319 rate.
