Juan Salazar Injured, Out for Season
Saturday, July 27th , 2019
Buckeye Local starting pitcher Juan Salazar could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn ulnar collateral ligament. He exited yesterday's Ft. Wayne game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Salazar would be out 13-14 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

Up to now Salazar has recorded a record of 0-3. In 0 starts he has fanned 24 batters in 32.2 innings with a 10.47 ERA.
