Thompson Goes Deep 3 Times Monday, July 22nd , 2019 Today was a special one for Jordan Thompson of the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers as he slammed three home runs in the 10-6 win over the Buckeye Local Panthers. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Sunrise Manor right fielder collected 4 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 5, and scored 4 runs in the contest at Field of the Sunchasers. Jordan Thompson hit a solo-shot off Danny Acosta in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Danny Acosta in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Roberto Diaz in the 5th and doubled in the 8th. On the year Thompson is hitting .255 with 25 hits, 8 home runs, 17 RBIs, .318 OBP and has scored 15 runs. |
