Picture Rocks Stops Sosa Hit Streak Tuesday, May 20th , 2025 For once, it was the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers picking up the slack for Adrian Sosa. The club's "offensive catalyst," as Sunrise Manor manager has frequently called him, went uncharacteristically silent and saw his 22-game hitting streak snapped by the Picture Rocks Raptors. Sosa was bailed out by the rest of the Sunchasers, however, who stopped the Raptors, 7-6. The 20-year-old second baseman finished the day 0-for-3, and told reporters at the postgame press conference that "everybody did their job but me." "Not that it was a huge problem -- we still won the game," he said with a grin. "The streak was a good run though. I'll try to start another one tomorrow." Sosa is currently batting .411 with 5 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
