Hernandez Booms 3 Homers Monday, July 8th , 2019 Alfredo Hernandez was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 9-2 Abingdon Archers triumph at Reagor Dykes Stadium today. The 18-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Archers past the Long Island Torpedoes. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Hernandez told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The catcher went 3-for-4, rung up 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Alfredo Hernandez hit a solo-shot off Miguel Perelsa in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Miguel Perelsa in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Nate Benson in the 6th and struck out in the 7th. Currently Hernandez is batting .233 with 17 hits and 7 home runs. He has knocked in 21 runs and scored 13 times. |
