Great Stroke: Sosa Gets 5 Hits
Saturday, May 10th , 2025
Sunrise Manor second baseman Adrian Sosa went down swinging at Field of the Sunchasers, knocking out 5 hits even as his Sunchasers fell, 7-6.
"It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Sosa said after his 5-for-5 performance against the San Antonio Griffins. "No offense meant to San Antonio, but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well."
After the game, his manager elaborated on the second baseman's improvements, saying Sosa spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball.
"That's what I'm trying to do," Sosa agreed. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it."
Adrian Sosa singled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jo Uehara in the 9th.
This year, Sosa has collected a .395 batting average to date with 51 hits in 129 at-bats, 13 RBIs, 2 home runs and scored 35 times. He has played in 30 games.
