Phillips Claims SC Batter of the Month Award Thursday, July 1st , 2021 Brian Phillips has a lot going for him. The Corpus Christi left fielder just broke into the majors this year and now the Southern Conference has just picked him as its top hitter for June. In 26 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .316 with 15 home runs, 33 RBIs and 28 runs scored. In 74 games this season, Phillips is batting .265 with 68 hits and 33 home runs. He has scored 64 runs and driven in 76. |
