Friday, May 9th , 2025
Chris Hillis, center fielder for the Jacksonville Nationals, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 2 hits in his club's 7-6 victory over the San Bernardino Flight at Nationals Park.
"Not the outcome we wanted," San Bernardino manager Nick Neumann said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Chris Hillis grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Vicente Hernandez in the 5th and struck out in the 6th.
During the current season Hillis is batting at a .416 clip with 6 home runs and 25 RBIs. He has played in 28 games and scored 42 times.
