Chargers Savage Gone for Year
Saturday, June 26th , 2021
The doctors have spoken and John Savage of the Terra Linda Chargers didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Savage sustained his season-ending injury during the Abingdon Archers game yesterday at Ballpark of Plantersville. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Terra Linda medical staff reported Savage had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months.
On the year, Savage has no saves in 11 relief appearances with a 7-4 record and 7.07 ERA.
