Koerner Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games
Tuesday, May 6th , 2025
The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.
Curt Koerner did it again, bashing 4 hits in the contest at Earthquakes Stadium. For the last 25 games in a row, the 20-year-old catcher has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes beat the Picture Rocks Raptors, 6-3.
"I'm happy I kept the streak going," Koerner told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Ft. Wayne clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Curt Koerner grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
At present, Koerner is batting .581 and has collected 12 home runs, 41 RBIs, .619 OBP and scored 40 runs.
