5-Hit Barrage by Beck Monday, June 21st , 2021 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for John Beck -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Captains Ballpark and paced the 5-3 Captains win over the Riverside Wolverines. After his dynamite batting performance, the Tulsa first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. John Beck hit a solo-shot off Armando Charcas in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Armando Charcas in the 4th, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
