Gratta Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak Sunday, May 4th , 2025 Win or lose, Nick Gratta just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 1 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 25 games. The Buckeye Local Panthers first baseman went 1-for-3, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 7-3, by the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers at Field of the Sunchasers. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Nick Gratta walked in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Luis Orosco in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, struck out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. So far this season, Gratta is hitting .458 with 13 home runs, 33 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has 49 hits in 107 at-bats and a .543 OBP. |
