Thursday, May 18th , 2023
Corpus Christi Texans third baseman Arturo Farias had a magnificent game against the Tulsa Captains, rocketing three balls out of Whataburger Field to help the Texans win, 9-6.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Farias went 3-for-3 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Corpus Christi manager Cory Schreck said later. "Seems like Arturo found his home run stroke today."
Arturo Farias walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 6th.
So far this season, Farias has gotten 21 hits in 101 at-bats for a .208 batting average with 12 home runs. His stats include 20 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has played in 33 games.
