Fei-hsien Liu Bashes Three over the Wall Friday, June 4th , 2021 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Wolverines Ballpark buzzing, Chuluota Imperials third baseman Fei-hsien Liu blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 9-3, over the Riverside Wolverines. "Everything was clicking," Liu told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Liu shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Imperials manager Victor Gonzalez said. "Fei-hsien played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Fei-hsien Liu walked in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Eric Zane in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Eric Zane in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Dermot Howe in the 9th. This season, Liu is swinging the bat at a .306 rate with 52 hits in 170 at-bats. To date he has hit 23 home runs, scored 43 runs and driven in 56. |
