SC Honors McCarty, Best Hitter in May Tuesday, June 1st , 2021 Chris McCarty made his presence known as one of the best young stars in the Southern Conference this past month. The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes right fielder shined through the month of May and has won the Batter of the Month award. The 20-year-old hit .345 with 15 home runs, 41 RBIs and 28 runs scored. This year, McCarty is hitting .321 with 50 hits, 23 home runs, 64 RBIs and has scored 42 runs. |
