3 Bombs for Luis Colindres Thursday, May 27th , 2021 Biloxi Jackpot second baseman Luis Colindres sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers, Colindres told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Colindres pushed the Jackpot past the Sunchasers, 18-13. To go along with the homers, he collected 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Colindres told reporters after the game. Luis Colindres hit a solo-shot off Joaquin Palacios in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Manny Flores in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Will Olejnik in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. To date, Colindres has collected 19 hits for a .253 average. He has posted 5 home runs, scored 13 runs and driven in 11 runs. |
