Curtis Still Strokes 3 Home Runs Wednesday, April 16th , 2025 Curtis Still went yard three times in a Haviland Thrashers victory over the Chuluota Imperials at Imperials Ballpark. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Haviland third baseman went 3-for-6 against Chuluota with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Thrashers to the 12-4 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Curtis Still flied out in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Roberto Morales in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jose Vasquez in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Jose Vasquez in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. This year, Still has hit at a .310 clip with 17 RBIs, 6 home runs and 10 runs scored. |
