BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM! 4 HR for Retana Thursday, April 27th , 2023 Jacksonville Nationals second baseman Edwin Retana totally decimated the Picture Rocks Raptors, finishing with 4 home runs in his team's 14-2 win. The Raptors had no answer for Retana, who finished the day 4-for-5 with 9 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "What can I say? My guys could've shot the ball out of a rifle and he'd probably hit them out anyway," said Picture Rocks skipper Matt Walker. "There's nothing you can do when a guy gets in that kind of zone, you just hope he cools down some before you have to face him again." When asked about his record performance, Retana responded, "After the first two I just tried to do everything the same way and it worked." Edwin Retana hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th.
