Sevener Slams 3 Homers for Chargers Saturday, April 22nd , 2023 Kevin Sevener brutalized the Plymouth Rockers pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 10-8 Terra Linda victory at Madison Grounds. The Terra Linda Chargers first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-5 with 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "Too much Kevin Sevener today," Rockers manager Matt Seipp said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Kevin Sevener flied out in the 1st, walked in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 11th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 12th.
