Carrillo Belts 3 HR for Torpedoes

Fans are still buzzing after Long Island whipped the Tiverton Colonels by the score of 12-3 at Centerville Grounds.
Mario Carrillo smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the right fielder bashed out 3 hits in 3 at-bats, had 5 RBIs and scored 3 times.
At the postgame press conference, Carrillo said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game.
"Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Carrillo said. "Three is just... wow."
Mario Carrillo hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, walked in the 5th and hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 6th.
This season, Carrillo is swinging the bat at a .301 rate with 41 hits in 136 at-bats. To date he has hit 7 home runs, scored 24 runs and driven in 14.
