Horrocks Garners W-AA #1 Pitcher Award Tuesday, June 1st , 2021 Nick Horrocks was ecstatic to win May's Western AA Pitcher of the Month honors today. The 22-year-old Augusta pitcher thanked fans, his coaches and the voters for the honor -- despite the fact that he deserved much of the credit himself. Horrocks's star burned bright last month as he made no relief appearances, notching no saves and 32 strikeouts in 38 innings. He held opposing hitters to a .164 average to put up his 4-0 mark and 0.71 ERA. To date, Horrocks has collected no saves in no relief appearances. He has rung up 42 strikeouts and 7 walks in 48.2 innings while registering a 1.85 ERA and a 4-2 won-lost record. |
