Kent Wins SC Top Pitcher Honors Thursday, July 1st , 2021 In June when the Montreal manager wrote the name "Kent" on the lineup card, he knew he had a good shot at winning. Start after start in the month, George Kent took the hill, took charge and usually got the win. He dominated with a 5-0 mark and 2.14 ERA in 5 starts. The gifted Royals star pitched 33.2 innings, fanned 29 and held opposing teams to a .246 average. For his outstanding mound performance Kent was named the SC Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. So far this year, Kent has 10 wins and 3 losses and a 2.58 ERA. |
