Big Bat Pays Off, Salas Player of the Week Monday, August 3rd , 2026 It was an extraordinary week for Sam Salas of the Toronto Trash Pandas. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .429, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the National Conference. Last week Salas went 12-for-28, racked up 4 home runs and 10 RBIs and scored 5 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Toronto first baseman. This year, Salas is hitting .257 with 16 home runs and 65 RBIs in 97 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .332 with 37 walks and 48 runs scored. |
