Hipkins Goes Deep Twice in 13-7 Wolverines Win
The Riverside Wolverines took on the Jacksonville Nationals at Nationals Park.

The Riverside Wolverines powered past the Jacksonville Nationals, 13-7, at Nationals Park. Chris Hipkins was 2-4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Paul Pedley picked up the win, lifting his record to 6-9 on the season. He struck out 8 and walked 0 in 7.2 innings, while yielding 7 runs.

The Wolverines got a big hit from right fielder Seth Robinson. Facing Jacksonville pitcher Gabriel Marin in the top of the seventh, Robinson pounded a 3-run home run to center. His 12th home run of the season put the Wolverines ahead, 9-2.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Robinson.

The Wolverines improved their record to 69-67 by beating Jacksonville.
