Dawson belts 2 home runs to Fuel Earthquakes Offense
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Justin Dawson, the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes defeated the Riverside Wolverines, 8-6. Dawson hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Earthquakes. Dustin Patton earned the win to go to 3-1. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. The Earthquakes, at 108-26, have a comfortable 31-game lead in their division.

Dawson contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Ft. Wayne in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-1, Dawson took a changeup from Jake Fish and stroked the home run to right. His 19th home run of the season allowed the Earthquakes to leap in front, 5-3.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Dawson.
