Earthquakes Thwart Wolverines, 3-2

Ft. Wayne and Riverside duked it out and the Earthquakes came out victorious.
Starting pitcher Omar Cons fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes stymie the Riverside Wolverines, 3-2. Jonathan Powell recorded the save, making him 8 for 11.
Ft. Wayne left fielder Colby Freese helped the Earthquakes go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Freese hit a run-scoring single off Riverside pitcher Melvin Flores.
Freese said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
The Earthquakes boast a remarkable 107-25 record.
