Killers Overcome Great Performance by Byrne in Win
The Crystal Lake Killers outlasted Adam Byrne and the Chuluota Imperials, 8-7. Byrne was impressive in the loss. The Chuluota right fielder slugged 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. Willie Garcia notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record now sits at 10-1. The victory gives Crystal Lake a record of 69-63.

Crystal Lake used a clutch at-bat from Chris Terry to capture the win. The catcher hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Killers ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

In postgame comments to the Crystal Lake Daily News, Terry said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
