Crystal Lake defeated Riverside, 8-4, in large part due to 18-year old second baseman Brian Kilcoyne. Kilcoyne drove in 3 runs. The second baseman had 1 double and 1 home run for the Killers. Eric Kretzer, the winner, goes to 3-3. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts over 7.1 innings. The first-place Killers now sit at 74-59.

With Crystal Lake leading 3-1 in the bottom of the second, Kilcoyne hit a fastball from Wu-sheng Su for a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Killers ahead, 6-1.
