San Antonio turned a good effort from starter Jim Unknown into a win over the Picture Rocks Raptors at Griffins Field. The Griffins won the game, 3-1. The winning pitcher was Unknown, now 1-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 8. Jim Unknown picked up his 1st save of the season.
Eddie Keyser cracked a home run off Alex Torres in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run blast put the Griffins on top, 3-1. In all, Keyser had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Jim was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said San Antonio manager James Beatty.
With the win, the Griffins are 44-88.
