The exploits of third baseman Chris Stivers, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2021 draft, helped the Haviland Thrashers defeat the Picture Rocks Raptors, 9-2. Stivers was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. With the victory, the Thrashers record stands at 69-61.

Fernando Angulo had a big 2-run home run for the Thrashers in the top of the second inning. With Haviland leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a cutter from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Jim Unknown and swatted a home run to right. It was his 8th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Thrashers ahead, 4-0.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Angulo told the Haviland Bulletin.
