Thrashers Earn 3-2 Win Versus Wolverines
The Haviland Thrashers had to overcome a good performance from Riverside pitcher Tyler Layne to claim a 3-2 win at Wolverines Ballpark. Layne went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Haviland is second in the Southern Conference East Division with a record of 78-52.

Haviland used the clutch hitting of Omar Gatica to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Thrashers ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

After the game, Haviland manager Bill Mason applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
