The Chuluota Imperials needed 10 innings to defeat the San Antonio Griffins, 6-3, at Imperials Ballpark. Chuluota first baseman Mario Lopez had a superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. Jake Sheppard, now 4-2, was credited with the win in 3 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The last-place Imperials own a record of 39-89.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Alberto Medina in the bottom of the tenth. That's when he hit a 3-run home run off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Jim Unknown to win it for Chuluota and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Medina.
