Bobb Hits Two Homers in 6-4 Win for Haviland
|
Justin Bobb left his imprint on the 6-4 Haviland win against the Buckeye Local Panthers. Bobb, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2021 draft, was 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The win was credited to 21-year old left-handed pitcher John Decker in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Juan Salazar took the loss. The Thrashers bumped their record to 66-60 with this win.
Bobb had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 fastball from Juan Salazar, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Thrashers a 6-4 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for Bobb.
"Good, blue-collar kind of win," said Thrashers manager Matt Conners.
