On Road, Riverside Drops Buckeye Local, 5-2

Riverside and Buckeye Local duked it out and the Wolverines came out victorious.
The Riverside Wolverines picked up a win at Cincinnati Grounds, knocking off the Buckeye Local Panthers, 5-2. Starting pitcher Eric Zane played a key role in the triumph. Riverside is now 81-42, while Buckeye Local is 53-70.
Early in the game, third baseman Joaquin Gomez had a solo home run for Riverside. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Wolverines on top, 1-0.
"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Gomez said in postgame remarks.
