The home crowd had a good time watching the Haviland Thrashers and Chuluota Imperials get after it.

The Chuluota Imperials beat the Haviland Thrashers, 10-4, at Imperials Ballpark. Chuluota center fielder Ryan Stanczak had an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Gabe Lopez, who is tied for 6th in the SC in wins with 10, was the winner in relief. His record is now 10-6. The losing pitcher was Kevin Irons.

Matt Levesque had a big 3-run home run for the Imperials in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Chuluota trailing 4-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Kevin Irons and punished it. The result was his 28th home run of the season, which put the Imperials on top, 5-4.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Stanczak. "It sure beats the alternative."

Chuluota is now 59-66. Haviland is 65-60.
