The Haviland Thrashers withstood a fine game by Sunrise Manor left fielder Rich Kotlar at Ballpark of Haviland, to upend the Sunchasers, 4-3. Kotlar was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ben Cox earned the save for Haviland, his 9th. Haviland bumps their record to 80-45 with the win.

Haviland went up, 4-3, on Ben Shafer's 27th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Shafer hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Sunrise Manor pitcher Leo Najera stewing.

"It was a good effort all around," said Shafer.
