O'Connell Helps Earthquakes Beat Sled Dogs, 12-5
The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes and Juneau Sled Dogs completed their game despite the inclement weather.

Gary O'Connell had a 7-RBI game, during Ft. Wayne's 12-5 triumph over the Juneau Sled Dogs. O'Connell contributed 2 singles and 2 home runs to the cause. Mario Manrique snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 2 hits over 2 innings. He's now 5-1 on the season.

With Ft. Wayne leading 6-1 in the top of the sixth, O'Connell came up to bat against Juneau pitcher Manny Martinez. O'Connell hit a splitter to left for a grand slam home run. His 15th home run of the season put the Earthquakes on top, 10-1.
