Starting pitcher Juan Ramirez pitched well enough to help the Crystal Lake Killers beat the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers, 4-3. Ricardo Sanchez closed it out for Crystal Lake, earning his 3rd save. At 67-54, the Killers have a slim two-game lead in the Southern Conference West Division.

Jimmy Robertson hit a 2-run home run off Eddie Carver in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Killers ahead, 4-3. In addition to the homer, Robertson had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
